NEW BORN CARE SPECIALIST

Newborn Care Specialists (NCS) are highly experienced individuals who have chosen to specialize in newborn and infant care. Many have undergone specialized training and have advanced knowledge in a wide variety of subject areas including lactation support and sleep training. NCS's come from a varied background including nursing, midwifery and nannies, but will all have one thing in common, and that is extensive experience in the care of newborns.

Whereas nannies work and grow with a family for many years, an NCS is an expert who will work with you for the first weeks and months of your newborn’s life. As families transition into full-time nanny-care, an NCS can provide hands-on training for your new nanny so that consistency in care can continue after her term ends. Our clients routinely tell us that hiring an NCS was the best decision they made providing them sanity, support, and much-needed sleep.


NANNY TEACHER

Nanny Teachers have left the large classroom environment and entered into an arrangement with one family, working with the same children consistently as they grow. They are certified teachers, looking for the opportunity to focus on one family at a time. We believe that education isn’t one size fits all and is proud to support parents who prefer a unique and customized in-home educational plan.

Our nanny teachers come from a variety of backgrounds and include credentialed teachers, home school teachers, tutors, and college-educated nannies with a passion for education and are adept at customizing their approach to suit your needs or following your unique education plan.

Whether you’re buried under a mountain of laundry, are exhausted from running errands non stop, can never fully tackle your to-do list, or feel like you’re always one step behind, hiring a nanny house manager is your solution. 


Our team has access to and is consistently trained in the latest and most up-to-date recruiting techniques and vetting procedures, as well as the latest information regarding employment contracts, UIF, employer responsibilities, and current industry standards. Because, at the end of the day, in addition to finding a great childcare giver, you need to know you are working with an expert team who has your family’s best interests at heart.

Our Vetting and Placement Process

As a parent you know that there is nothing more important than the safety and well-being of your children. At Clementines Au Pair and Nanny Agency we feel the same and that is why our rigorous due diligence process leaves no stone unturned. Our unique nanny screening and expert staff ensure that each candidate is thoroughly vetted before they are ever considered for representation.

Firstly, we are not a "body shop"! We do not process high volumes of candidates in a mechanistic production line. What we offer is a bespoke personalized, and tailored service which stresses the importance of understanding individual needs. Secondly, while we are proud of our agency, we recognize not all families want the same thing from a Nanny agency. We have our way of doing things - we think it works. 

Pre - placement research is key

The time and effort we spend on pre-placement preparation is crucial for us. We take time to talk to families to understand what sort of Specialist Nanny placement they want, who the family is, what sort of people they are, and their expectations of the ideal candidate. 

Step 1- We will ask all families to fill out our family form. It’s not the third degree, and we certainly do not want to collect any more information than is necessary. But it does take a little time, although we try to work with families to fit around their busy schedules. (View our Privacy Policy) 

Step 2- We will then cross match the candidates we have and email them to you.

Step 3- Once an Offer of Employment has been Extended and Accepted upon offering a candidate a position, we move into the final phase of our screening process. This includes a Criminal Background Check.

We understand that our client’s time is precious and often limited. We work quickly and efficiently to source the right candidates the first time around and provide a seamless experience throughout your nanny search. Additionally, we place an equal focus on the candidates qualifications and references, as we do their individual personalities, ensuring a greater chance for success!

We Learn About You and Your Family

We get to know you and your family’s needs. In our initial conversation, we’ll cover your weekly schedule, job responsibilities, childcare philosophies and the personal and professional qualities you’d like to see in your ideal
Nanny.

We Source the Right Specialist Nanny

Based on your specific criteria, we personally match you with the Nanny most suitable for your position. After reviewing our represented candidates and determining who meets your needs, detailed profiles and short biographies for each candidate are e-mailed to you for your consideration.

We Schedule Interviews

We coordinate and schedule interviews with your favorite candidates in the comfort of your home or Preferred location. After the interview process, we follow up with both you and the candidates for detailed and confidential feedback.

04.

We Walk You Through the Hiring

Once you have decided to make an offer to your future Nanny, we will walk you through the hiring process, and coordinate any last-minute details.

We do Provide on-going support during the 6 months warranty period after your hire. 

Finding the “right” Nanny can take time

Sometimes days, on other occasions weeks. We try to give a realistic estimate of how long it will take when we know what sort of candidate you are looking for. We aim to send just a few candidate profiles to each family, We would rather spend extra time finding the right Nanny than simply drip feeding any list of candidates, even though that would undoubtedly be quicker and easier.

If we are doing our job right, we shouldn't need to send more than 3 short listed candidates to families. We take the time to interview candidates, and we apply our intelligent matching tools to help pin point the best candidates we can find. In the end, it is our experience and judgement of family needs and the attributes of Nannies we are offering.

Try Review Candidates Quickly

Lastly, when we do send through profiles of candidates, please look at them quickly - 24 to 48 hours. If the candidates are good, there is every chance another family will snap them up!

How do we find our Specialist Nannies?

We source Nannies who have Child care & CPR certification with a minimum of 5 years experience in professional child care. We do believe that they are the right fit for the job because they have the passion, knowledge and patience for working with children.

How do we interview our Nannies?

We invite our candidates for a face to face interview to learn more about their personalities and really just to get to know them apart from what is contained in their CV, this enables us to get the perfect fit for your family and to make sure they represent what our agency stands for. We then do Reference and Qualification checks and if all checks out, we then forward the details to you for an interview.

How do we support you after placing a Nanny?

At Clementines we offer ongoing support and mediation to our Clients and Nannies, we provide our Nannies with ongoing resources to help them be knowledgeable in child care education, health and safety.
